last date at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. I caught up with The Friday

A new movement is taking place this
year to help the people of Zimbabwe. It
calls for African leaders to “abandon the policy of quiet diplomacy and
recognize that Zimbabwe has no legal government,” according a BBC News Article
entitled “Hunger strike for Zimbabwe change.
Activists of this movement formed protests on Monday, January 26.

The
battered strip of land known as the Gaza Strip has seen much blood in its
streets, which is for sure. The count of
dead and wounded, however, still cannot be agreed upon. After three weeks of fighting the Israeli
troops repositioned along the border. In
their wake an estimate of 1,300 Palestinians were killed and 4,336 wounded. Who
can be trusted to survey the dead is the main issue at hand.

Reversing almost a decade of Bush policy, President Barack Obama signed one of his first orders as the new ruler of the free world to close the Guantanamo Bay detention camp and secret prisons by the end of the year. He also issued a ban on coercive interrogations and any other unlawful and corrupt programs existing from the previous administration.
